With a sister who runs the world- excuse the pun but it had to be put in- and is one of the most predominant American global female figures, a step down from Oprah and a step down from Anna Wintour but nether the less. Solange Knowles is the younger sibling of the force of music nature that is Beyonce. Some consider her less known (these few need to re-awakened) Solange's presence is being felt and praised amongst the fashion circles. This is why i believe she deserves to be in the style icon feature.

Solange Knowles style is a bold, colourful explosion and with her striking physical attributes it only enhances and enchants others: Those large doe eyes, full lips and a face so flawlessly stunning; not to mention her glorious ever changing hair. These strong aesthetic and physical signifiers are a create a wondrous potion which transfixes the audiences eyes. Her signature style is obviously more eclectic than previous style icons i have featured. Her brave and playful approach to fashion can only be admired and applauded, it takes a very unique and confidant person to dress in the same manner as Solange whilst looking as natural as her. Solange never to be deterred by fashion has a go to palette of striking brights and heavily patterned garments which only emphasises the gorgeous nature of dark skin. One cannot question her ability to look young and fresh using experimental trends, fabrics and colours whilst retaining a classic appearance.
