Red- Behind The Scenes

Detail of Lucy Lee garment

Firstly sorry for my lack of postage but this has been due to an unprecedented amount of university projectand work. For the next couple of weeks the posts may be more erratic than i hope for but fingers-crossed there will be more than what i managed last work- none!

Moving on to brighter things, at the end of last week I was asked to partake in amazing shoot as Creative Director. It was a studio shoot at Lime Grove (a LCF campus) for graduate fashion designer Lucy Lee with the talented Jessica Wright once again as photographer- us trio of ladies know how to work and bring home the goods! Along with Lee, Wright and myself we were accompanied by a great hair and make up artist Bridie Taylor and the slick Jessie Lawrence as our model.

Being a studio shoot it was much different from the last shoot we all worked together on; no blue legs, no cold damp derelict building and no battling with the brambles that have tangled and knotted the once beautiful grounds. The shoot was to help Lee create something breathtaking images for her graduate collection, to put displayed at the graduate exhibition, held both in Brighton and London.

The RED Collection was inspired by cathedrals, their architecture, their colour palettes and what this symbolises. The shoot was controlled by lots of jagged shaped movements and poses to compliment the intricate and strong shapes of the garments but whilst still juxtaposing the feminine nature of the organza and leather.

One of my favourite snaps!

Without giving too much away by words or by imagery i'm offering you a sneak peak- to those who follow any of us on Instagram, i am afraid i am offering nothing new. For that you will have to wait for the exhibition.
