Fuzzy Furries

Shoes: ASOS, Jeans: River Island
As the season of good will and festivities is well under way, frost and that winter chill has captured the  air. Fashion seems to believe they have answered every girls wishes (certainly mine) and this season has provided us with fashionable, even if slightly eccentric, fluffy footwear...
With Giuseppe Zanotti presenting a seasonal offering embodying both the boudoir slipper and (what seams never ending) trend of spikes and studs, the infamous Jekyll and Hyde shoe. Very chicly modelled by the ever cool Alexa Chung, making any regular aspiring clothes horse realise how dressed down this season staple footwear can look. The fluffy shoe then takes a more girly, bubblegum pink form through the eyes of shoe great Christian Louboutin. Its the kind of Christmas gift you would expect to be wrapped in an abundance of ribbons; a gift for the girl who wears glitter on her face with a silk and ostrich feather dressing gown. A grown up little girls dressing up treasure. This shoe has somehow caused an association in my mind to the 1950's Hollywood beauties and show girls. Possibly even the show girls of today, for instance, the inevitably sultry and sexy dancers of Parisian dance troupe Crazy Horse. Who did a showcase of Mr Louboutins work check it out..

However a fuzzy furry that is truly more eccentric and creative than these more serious, sexy and slightly outrageous footwear designs happens to be from the great house of Celiné, YES!, you know the ones i'm talking about. The sunburst yellow fluff balls that look like something Phoebe Philo dreamed of as a child whilst having a fascination with Sesame Streets; Big Bird. An explosive piece of work which works as the christmas cracker to the merry, festive season.

Although this small selection i have chosen to show this trend, it may not be to everyones taste, however are you not truly grateful that the fashion god have given us this look to aspire to than the dreaded Ugg! I know i would rather look like i take my style inspiration from a fashion trendsetter like Alexa Chung than a WAG from four years ago...This trend, truly a beautiful Christmas miracle!
